This painting was inspired by the many varieties of seaweed and crabs found in the rockpools on the East coast of Jersey. The colours and movement of the seaweed with the motion of the waves is beautiful to watch, and a diverse number of sea creatures, such as chancre crabs, hide and feed amongst the stems and leaves. This is painted in a blue and pink colour scheme in acrylic on canvas board. The paint is layered so the surface is textured and very tactile.

It is finished with a white wooden painted frame with a shadow border, and measures 43cm (W) x 43cm (H) x 3cm (Depth).
